As an Industrial Engineer at Future Electronics, you will provide engineering support across various disciplines including labor management, warehouse management, automation, PLC, supply chain solutions, productivity improvements, cost savings, and ergonomic improvements. Your role will involve being an active participant on the leadership team, where you will devise and implement solutions aimed at enhancing both customer and employee experiences. You will act as a conduit for innovative ideas and formulate actionable plans around identified opportunities. Your primary responsibilities will include the development of Warehouse Management System (WMS) improvements and automation augmentations, aimed at enhancing storage and throughput capacity. You will be tasked with developing improvement projects that demonstrate a return on investment (ROI) and ensuring their timely completion. Additionally, you will be responsible for establishing labor standards and measurements, as well as performing time and motion studies to optimize operational efficiency. To succeed in this role, you will need a strong academic background, preferably with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, and relevant professional experience, ideally 2-3 years in a distribution environment. Familiarity with facility planning, design, and layout, including new builds and enhancements, is essential. Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD, and Lean Six Sigma certification will be advantageous. You will also need to possess strong computer skills, knowledge of relevant software, and the ability to utilize SQL or BI tools for analytics to support business decisions. Strong communication skills and a willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, are also required.
