About the position

The Industrial Engineering Manager at Sunnova Energy is responsible for overseeing and coordinating industrial engineering activities within the organization. This role focuses on streamlining workflows and ensuring operational efficiency while driving a Customer First mindset, reducing costs, and improving overall operational performance through cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Identify cross-functional process gaps and coordinate teams to develop solutions, improve customer experience, and reduce cost.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Treasury, Capital Markets, Revenue Management, Accounting, Operations, Dealer Support, Fulfillment, Software & Business Technology, and Sales teams, to identify opportunities for process optimization and SLA reduction.
  • Provide data analytics and recommendations based on process improvements.
  • Maintain metrics to track performance against key operational goals.
  • Identify technology enhancements that integrate emerging technologies and tools to enhance operational performance and system integration across processes.
  • Collaborate with the operational excellence and process improvement team to identify and implement lean methodologies to further enhance operational efficiency and service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
  • 5+ years relevant experience in work measurement experience in industrial engineering, operations, or manufacturing
  • 3+ years lean experience
  • Proven experience as an Industrial Engineer or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of industrial engineering principles, work measurement techniques, and process improvement methodologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inefficiencies and develop practical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with highly developed attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in energy industry a plus (solar, wholesale or retail electricity)
  • Ability to organize and prioritize individual workload to meet required deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a matrix environment
