About the position

The Industrial Engineer at Brose North America, Inc. is responsible for planning, engineering, and improving productivity, product throughput, and worker safety at the Tuscaloosa Plant. The role focuses on reducing process failure risks and nonconformance through various analytical methods and tools, ensuring high-quality production of automotive mechatronic seat systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, engineer, and improve plant productivity and product throughput.
  • Enhance worker safety and reduce process failure risk.
  • Conduct Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Utilize Pareto Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Implement 8Ds, 5S Method, and Fishbone Diagram for continuous improvement.
  • Analyze Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and design Value Stream.
  • Implement Lessons Learned and best practices during production.
  • Ensure high-quality and high-volume production and delivery of automotive seat systems.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Six months of experience as an Engineer or in a related role.
  • Experience in reducing process nonconformance using FMEA and Fishbone Diagram.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and related engineering tools.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing of components.
