Trillium Professional has a direct hire opportunity for an Industrial Engineer in Fayetteville, AR. This position is responsible for aligning processes, measurements, standards, and efforts with a primary focus on safety, delivery, quality, and cost. The Industrial Engineer will utilize a strong analytical approach to problem-solving and create cost-effective solutions. The role involves overseeing installation and process improvement projects, including productivity and technology improvements, ensuring that all project assignments are completed within established scope, budget, and schedule. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential to drive operational excellence in this position. The Industrial Engineer will spend approximately 80% of their day on the factory floor, understanding problems and driving results in real-time. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinker, capable of quickly developing a holistic understanding of problems to devise innovative solutions. They will take ownership of creating a business plan and be accountable for assignments, activities, and resolving business pain points. Value engineering is a key aspect of this role, as the engineer will seek optimal value through both short-term and long-term solutions. Organization and communication are crucial, as the Industrial Engineer will coordinate and communicate information, ideas, and expectations that may contain technical material. They will be responsible for documentation, creating requirements, standard operating procedures, and work instructions that are easy to reference and update. The ability to prioritize and drive multiple, sometimes competing priorities to achieve results is essential. The engineer will also need to be influential, evaluating complex decisions and process improvements, educating and motivating others to gain alignment through effective storytelling. This role has an everyday impact, becoming an invaluable strategic partner by working across various internal teams to discuss business performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and collaborate on solutions. The Industrial Engineer will provide data-driven insights to influence the deployment of business strategies and impact business decisions. Establishing scorecards and KPI reporting that represent mutually defined annual goals will be part of their responsibilities, driving throughput and productivity performance while maintaining engineering standards. Effective communication is necessary to achieve leadership support and influence cross-functional stakeholders to understand the Value Stream and how projects impact it. The engineer will partner with supply chain teams on the development of new tools and processes to enhance operational efficiencies and ensure on-time and in-full delivery for customers. They will also ensure that the right tooling, equipment, and processes are compatible with the entire value stream, focusing on modern work cell development and methods optimization to improve throughput and productivity. Promoting and supporting the company’s mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others is also a key responsibility of this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, or Mechanical Engineering required.
