About the position

The Industrial Engineer role at Syncreon America Inc involves designing, running, testing, and upgrading engineering systems and processes to support continuous improvement initiatives at the plant level. The position focuses on optimizing work systems, enhancing ergonomic factors, and implementing lean engineering tools to improve labor utilization and material flow. The role requires collaboration in new business launches and adherence to flexible work schedules, including weekends and evenings as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and support to Continuous Improvement initiatives at the plant level.
  • Conduct work studies to analyze work systems and develop standards and improvements.
  • Utilize simulation software to analyze and improve work systems.
  • Assess ergonomic factors in work systems and provide design solutions to minimize RMI.
  • Develop and implement lean engineering tools and review work methods and workstation designs.
  • Conduct analysis and make recommendations to improve labor utilization, material flow, and capacity planning.
  • Utilize and analyze Lean Standards in everyday assignments.
  • Provide input for the development of Process FMEA's and Control Plans.
  • Research, justify, and recommend the purchase of capital expenditures.
  • Support STD Work, 5s, TPM, JIT, and Mistake Proofing initiatives.
  • Update layouts using Auto CAD LT.
  • Maintain and update Bill of Materials and review engineering change orders.
  • Assist in new business launches at both customer and syncreon plant.
  • Work scheduled shifts with predictable and reliable attendance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline required; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience performing Industrial Engineering techniques and time studies.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong computer skills including design, drawing, presentation, and Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Auto CAD LT.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
