About the position

ASML is the world's leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or microchips. The Industrial Engineer position is designed for individuals with an innovative attitude who are eager to work in a Manufacturing Engineer Environment. The candidate will collaborate with cross-sector teams to enhance manufacturing processes and ensure operational efficiency. In this role, the Industrial Engineer will support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP, and Teamcenter. They will work closely with the change control board, which includes Design & Engineering (D&E), Production Engineers, and Manufacturing, to comply with ASML's Configuration Management rules. The goal is to develop optimal sequences and routings that ensure smooth operations on the production floor. Industrial engineers are driven to continuously optimize the sequence of operations by reducing cycle time and operational waste, thereby adding value to overall efficiency and translating to cost savings. The position also involves collaborating with Production Engineers to create Manufacturing Bills of Materials and Manufacturing Bills of Processes in Teamcenter. A deep understanding of the processes is essential to assist engineering with technical issues and process know-how. The Industrial Engineer will evaluate and improve Bill of Material structures based on input from Engineering and Manufacturing, ensuring appropriate multilevel structuring and groupings. Additionally, applying Lean manufacturing principles and being open-minded to new developments beyond their expertise is crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP, and Teamcenter.
  • Work with the change control board to develop optimal sequences and routings for production.
  • Continuously optimize the sequence of operations to reduce cycle time and operational waste.
  • Collaborate with Production Engineers to create Manufacturing Bills of Materials and Processes in Teamcenter.
  • Assist engineering with technical issues and process know-how.
  • Evaluate and improve Bill of Material structures based on input from Engineering and Manufacturing.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency.
  • Stay open-minded for new developments related to areas beyond own expertise.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering with limited experience or equivalent working and thinking level.
  • 1-3 years' experience in an Engineering environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of own tasks within own area of expertise and basic sub-module & module knowledge.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception through completion.
  • Ability to work well with a team and share knowledge and skills.
  • Experience in creating and managing Bill of Material in engineering and manufacturing environments preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and ERP systems.
