About the position

The Industrial Facility Security Officer Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing security operations within a busy manufacturing facility that works closely with the Department of Defense (DoD). The position requires a strong understanding of DoD security requirements and compliance, as well as proven leadership experience in a similar environment. The role involves managing security personnel, implementing security policies, and ensuring compliance with various regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage implementation and management of security policy and guidance as outlined in the NISPOM and other government agencies.
• Oversight of security personnel and management of plant physical security.
• Serve as a backup for notification of alarms.
• Maintain document and visitor control records, coordinate classified visits and meetings.
• Process visit requests both domestic and international.
• Maintain personnel security clearance records.
• Maintain security files, reports, and correspondence as required by DCSA and other customer/regulatory agencies.
• Prepare and process security briefings for new hires, terminations, and other required topics.
• Perform self-inspections and review security processes to ensure compliance with NISPOM and security requirements.
• Manage the closeout for all classified contracts received and issued.
• Perform duties of COMSEC Custodian and Controlling Agent for the COMSEC account.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Facility Security Officer (FSO).
• Proven leadership performance in a DoD manufacturing environment.
• Eligibility for a DoD 'Secret' security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree or higher (Associates degree with industry-specific certifications is a plus).
• Thorough understanding of DoD security requirements and the NISPOM.
• Familiarity with AA&E and ATF requirements.
• Working knowledge of processing personnel clearances with DoD and visit requests.
• In-depth knowledge of JPAS, e-QIP, eFCL, NISP, DISS.
