About the position
Sedron Technologies is seeking a skilled Industrial Insulator for a full-time position in Sedro-Woolley, WA. The role involves insulating complex piping systems and installing cladding on large pipes and fittings, contributing to innovative waste processing technologies. The ideal candidate will work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring compliance with safety practices while meeting project deadlines. This position requires travel to remote sites for insulation work, which is compensated with off-site pay and per-diem.
Responsibilities
- Insulate complex piping routes containing reducers and other fittings
- Insulate and install cladding on large complex pipes and fittings
- Create and install custom insulating blankets
- Read and work from mechanical blueprints and schematic drawings
- Use cranes, forklifts, man lifts, and scissor lifts
- Prioritize duties and responsibilities to fulfill objectives
- Work individually and within a multidisciplinary team, communicating with technicians and engineers
- Travel to remote sites for a minimum of 6 weeks per year to insulate as-built equipment
- Comply with all safety, 5S, and HazMat practices
- Work well under pressure, meeting multiple deadlines
- Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
- Maintain good organization skills
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- At least 2-3 years experience in industrial insulation or related field required
- Familiarity with industrial insulation standard concepts, practices, and procedures
- Minimum requirement is a high school diploma or GED
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
