About the position

The Industrial Machine Assembly position at Enprotech involves assembling and repairing heavy machinery for the metal forming and steel industry. The role requires a solid understanding of mechanical systems, the ability to interpret blueprints, and proficiency in using various tools and equipment. The position is full-time on the 2nd shift, focusing on ensuring that machinery meets customer specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Create plans for disassembly and repair per assembly procedures following specifications.
• Verify conformance of parts to blueprints using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
• Inspect parts to quality standards.
• Align components for assembly, manually or with a crane.
• Remove high spots and smooth surfaces using chisels, scrapers, files, and powered hand grinder.
• Assemble, set up, and operate machines to verify functionality and conformance to specifications.
• Form, bend, and fasten piping, fixtures, and attachments for machine operation.
• Verify alignment and tolerances of moving parts using measuring instruments.
• Install moving parts such as shafts, levers, or bearings and test their movement.
• Mount and connect auxiliary mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment.
• Cut and fit pipes and tubing.
• Test or assist in testing the operation of the completed product.

Requirements

• Solid mechanical skills and ability to use cranes and heavy tools effectively.
• Ownership of tools of the trade and proficiency in their use.
• Ability to interpret assembly prints and determine disassembly sequences.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in shop math.
• Ability to communicate verbally with team members and supervisors.
• Physical strength to handle heavy equipment and tools safely.
• Ability to bend tubing and work with hydraulics and pneumatics.
