The Industrial Maintenance/Facility Manager at Admiral Packaging, Inc. is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of all equipment and facilities within the manufacturing plant. In this role, the manager will manage and oversee all employees in the maintenance department, scheduling, assigning, and prioritizing maintenance tasks to ensure timely completion. The position also involves planning for manufacturing equipment, which includes overseeing projects related to new equipment installation, relocation, and removal. A detailed project plan will be created for each task associated with these projects, ensuring that all activities are completed safely and in compliance with legal standards. Additionally, the manager will develop and implement maintenance plans to keep equipment and facilities in optimal working condition. This includes overseeing preventive maintenance programs aimed at minimizing downtime and leading troubleshooting efforts to manage repairs of equipment and facilities. The role also encompasses identifying training needs and overseeing the design and delivery of training programs for the maintenance team, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge. Collaboration with other departments, such as Production and Quality, is essential to ensure smooth operations across the facility. The manager will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all maintenance-related data for future reference and compliance, ensuring that product quality is upheld by following established procedures and documentation protocols.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all employees in the maintenance department.
- Schedule, assign, and prioritize all maintenance tasks.
- Oversee all projects for new equipment installation, equipment relocation, and equipment removal.
- Create detailed project plans to address each task associated with equipment projects.
- Ensure that all equipment project tasks are completed in a safe and legal manner.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure equipment and facilities are in good working condition.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and manage repairs of equipment and facilities.
- Identify training needs and oversee the design and delivery of training programs for the maintenance team.
- Work closely with other departments such as Production and Quality to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance-related data for future reference and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training.
- A minimum of 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to make strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong mechanical and industrial electronics knowledge.
- Knowledge of PLC Control Systems required.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the more popular PLC control systems preferred.
