About the position

The Industrial Maintenance Manager will lead the Maintenance Department at Close the Loop Group, focusing on the design, development, optimization, and operation of recycling equipment and processes. This role involves ensuring safety, efficiency, and technical expertise in maintenance operations while managing a team and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate safety as a core value by following safety procedures and maintaining a safe workplace.
  • Work with the EH&S Manager to develop processes that meet safety codes and guidelines.
  • Participate in achieving organizational and personal safety objectives.
  • Ensure all performance metrics are reviewed and communicated, taking relevant action on performance issues.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance efficiency.
  • Complete maintenance work orders in a timely manner, prioritizing based on operational impact.
  • Supervise maintenance crews across all shifts and manage the maintenance budget.
  • Schedule machine maintenance and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for maintenance work.
  • Develop and manage a training plan for the maintenance team.
  • Assist in the development of team members, addressing performance and disciplinary issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in maintenance management, including 5-7 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong electrical, mechanical, and welding skills.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting capabilities and knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
  • Experience with PLCs, preferably Allen Bradley or Siemens.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends when required.
  • Experience in planning maintenance operations and managing maintenance budgets.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in First Aid, CPR, Blood Borne Pathogens, and arc flash preferred.
  • Experience in facilities management, including HVAC and plumbing.
