About the position

The position involves representing the Company with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics". The role actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values". Responsibilities include assembling and disassembling refinery equipment, performing duties within precise limits or standards of accuracy (Quality Control), and working from drawings and blueprints when required. The candidate must proficiently run several types of equipment such as forklifts and manlifts, and be able to perform Turnaround duties when necessary. The role requires the ability to work independently after being properly directed by a foreman and to lead helpers and laborers through the job safely. Additionally, the candidate must know how to select the proper tools and equipment to complete a job, work well with supervision, and may be required to train and supervise apprentices. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles and disassembles refinery equipment.
  • Performs duties within a precise limit or standard of accuracy (Quality Control).
  • Works from drawings and blueprints as required.
  • Proficiently runs several types of equipment (forklifts, manlifts, etc.).
  • Performs Turnaround duties when required.
  • Works independently after being directed by a foreman.
  • Leads helpers and laborers through the job safely.
  • Selects the proper tools and equipment to complete a job.
  • Works well with supervision.
  • Trains and supervises apprentices as required.
  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four (4) years or more in refinery maintenance experience.
  • Good understanding of boilermaker type work and knowledge of basic hand tools.
  • Must pass an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Craft proficiency test at or above 70% or complete the NCCER certification for your craft.
  • Complete the Company's Safety training, Process Safety Management training, and Client/Site specific training.
  • Must obtain and maintain an active status within the appropriate drug testing program.
  • Must have TWIC card.
  • Must have a 20-hour high hazard facility training card.
  • Must have Verification of 8,000 craft related hours OR Graduated journeyperson status preferred.
