About the position

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks across multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. This role requires quick troubleshooting skills to address urgent maintenance needs and ensure smooth plant operations. The mechanic will inspect wiring, repair equipment, and manage inventory effectively, contributing to the overall efficiency of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, and carpentry issues as they arise.
• Inspect wiring and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
• Respond quickly to urgent maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
• Manage inventory related to maintenance supplies and tools.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

• Basic plumbing knowledge and skills.
• Basic electrical wiring capabilities.
• Basic carpentry skills.
• Certification in Low Voltage Electrical preferred.
• Ability to wire and troubleshoot sensors, Photo Eyes, and contactors.
• Knowledge of 110vac and 24 vdc control voltage.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with employees and contractors.
• Attention to detail to identify potential hazards and ensure quality work.
• Physical stamina to remain active throughout the shift.
