About The Position
Our client in Buffalo, NY is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their growing team! This is a full-time, on-site, direct hire position. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing both scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on all production and support equipment as needed to ensure their operation is safe and in proper operating condition. The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric systems, and the technician will be expected to diagnose issues, disassemble machines and equipment, and replace or repair parts as required. In this position, the technician will coordinate schedules with machine operators and lead personnel to perform equipment maintenance, minimizing production downtime. They will assist with identifying, developing, and executing preventative maintenance tasks, and maintain records including preventative maintenance logs, inventory of machine parts, tools, and maintenance supplies. The technician will participate with peers and supervisors in addressing problem areas, implementing corrective and preventive actions, planning methods, and operating procedures. Additionally, they will source parts and procedures on computers or manuals as needed and place purchase order requisitions when required. Adherence to safety regulations and protocols is crucial to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others. The technician will also assist with the installation and set-up of new equipment.
