About the position

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all egg breaking machines, washers, loaders, conveying systems, and related parts to ensure the plant operates efficiently. This role is crucial for maintaining production standards and involves performing mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and assisting in new equipment installations.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs to all production-related equipment to ensure continuous operation and meet production needs.
• Repair damaged pasteurizer carts, make necessary welds, and replace worn parts to maintain production standards.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment as scheduled to keep the line running efficiently and minimize repair costs.
• Perform mechanical repairs on breaking machines, washers, loaders, conveyors, centrifuges, augers, and shell driers to meet production requirements.
• Assist in new equipment and electrical installations, including running conduit for timely start-up.
• Perform building maintenance, including repairs to pumps, motors, gear boxes, and bearings, and conduct preventative maintenance to reduce mechanical repair costs.
• Inform the Maintenance Lead of any problems and daily activities.
• Weld stainless steel or demonstrate a strong desire to learn welding skills.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and interact respectfully with a diverse group of people.
• Effectively communicate the status of issues and projects with management, vendors, peers, and production personnel.
• Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality is upheld.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical background with 2-3 years of related experience.
• Food production experience preferred.

• Ability to weld stainless steel or a strong desire to learn welding skills.
