About the position

The Industrial Maintenance Technician at Trinity Personnel Inc. is responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment in a meat processing facility. This role involves working closely with the production department to troubleshoot maintenance issues, ensuring that all work meets quality and safety standards. The technician will perform extensive repairs on various machinery and equipment, including conveyors and forklifts, while adhering to company policies and safety procedures. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position with a focus on welding and industrial machinery maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Production department to troubleshoot maintenance issues.
• Perform extensive repairs on equipment such as conveyors, elevators, and bearings.
• Respond to requested work orders and complete the required documentation.
• Assist in case of equipment failure to minimize product loss.
• Ensure work meets acceptable quality levels, including structurally sound welds and proper installation of parts.
• Operate forklifts safely and adhere to safety rules, including performing forklift inspections.
• Repair forklifts and other vehicles as needed.
• Perform all work in accordance with company standards and established safety procedures.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and handle conflicts constructively.
• Work alongside others or independently to complete projects.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experienced welder with at least 2 years of experience.
• Experience in food manufacturing industrial machinery.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment or vehicle failures.
• Knowledge to perform maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Familiarity with Lock out/Tag out, HACCP, GMPs, Organic Handling Procedures, Allergen Control Program, Food Plant Security, Glass and Hard Plastic, Quality policies, and Safety programs.
