About the position

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, installation, adjustment, and preventative maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures the safe operation of equipment while adhering to cGMP and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions by observing mechanical devices in operation and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
• Examine tools and equipment to detect needed replacements, unsafe conditions, or violations of safety rules.
• Work in accordance with all safety regulations and Best Sanitizers SOP's and work instructions.

Requirements

• 3 years prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• VFD troubleshooting and programming experience.
• Welding skills.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting skills.
• Mechanical knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing liquid filling lines equipment such as fillers, cappers, labelers, torque machines, pumps, conveyors, and jet coders.
• Complete understanding of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Thorough documentation and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact and work with team members.
• Must be able to work flexible hours to include overtime when needed.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Prior work experience in an FDA environment.
