About the position

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician who loves working with machines and problem solving! Someone who takes pride in providing a service of quality and efficiency. We provide a very team focused department that takes a collaborative and supportive approach while serving our Production floor by keeping everything running. Lynden Door is a family-owned company that has been producing high-quality wood doors for over 40 years while providing a people focused environment. We serve a wide range of customers, from residential to commercial, across North America. We are proud of our craftsmanship, innovation, and customer service, and our people. As a maintenance technician, you will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance and troubleshooting our plant's machines, ensuring optimal performance and productivity. You will also perform machine tuning, equipment repairs, upgrades, fabrication, or building maintenance as needed. You will work closely with other team members and supervisors to achieve our goals and exceed the industry's standards for product quality. The maintenance technician role is a full-time day shift, 40 hours Monday to Friday (overtime is often available). Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on plant machines
  • Troubleshoot machines to ensure optimal performance
  • Perform machine tuning and equipment repairs
  • Handle upgrades and fabrication as needed
  • Maintain building maintenance as required
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve goals

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools
  • High integrity and effective problem-solving skills
  • Computer skills and experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) preferred
  • Strong emphasis on safety and shop organization
  • 2-4 years of relevant professional experience in maintenance or related fields
  • Experience with precise and tight tolerances in machining and fabrication preferred
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Experience dealing with precise and tight tolerances in machining and fabrication
