Morgan Services is seeking an experienced and skilled Industrial Maintenance Worker to join their team in Buffalo, NY. This position is crucial for the maintenance of building and mechanical equipment used in an industrial laundry setting. The Industrial Maintenance Worker will be responsible for servicing and maintaining various types of equipment, including motors, conveyor systems, HVAC systems, compressors, and other production-related machinery. This role requires performing general electrical and plumbing maintenance within the facility, as well as completing machinery and building maintenance logs to track progress and issues. Effective communication is vital, as the worker will need to provide detailed updates on ongoing projects and inspections. The position also involves inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machinery, troubleshooting issues, and making necessary repairs to ensure optimal performance. In addition to these responsibilities, the Industrial Maintenance Worker will survey buildings to ensure compliance with health and safety standards, install or adjust mechanical parts using hand and machine tools, and conduct general upkeep procedures as assigned. Responsibilities

  • Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyor systems, HVAC systems, compressors, and production-related machinery.
  • Performing general building electrical and plumbing maintenance.
  • Completing Machinery and Building Maintenance Logs.
  • Communicating detailed progress on projects in progress.
  • Inspecting, assessing functionality, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery.
  • Surveying buildings to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
  • Installation or adjustments of mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
  • Conducting general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years' Industrial Machine Repair Experience Necessary.
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, & industrial control systems.
  • Working knowledge of hand & stationary tools.
  • Good communication, time management & problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift & manipulate heavy equipment.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards & regulations.
  • Secondary education/degree or certification in mechanical maintenance technology or relevant field a plus!
  • Boiler technical skills a plus!
  • Must be able & willing to pass a background check & drug screening.
