About the position
The Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer Intern position at Air Vent Inc. is designed for students pursuing a degree in engineering, particularly in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical disciplines. The intern will be responsible for reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) sheets for production lines, gaining hands-on experience in various manufacturing processes. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn about operations management, industrial safety, and quality in a real-world setting.
Responsibilities
- Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) sheets for production lines.
- Participate in the posting, training, and rollout of safety and training documents to employees.
- Document manufacturing processes by taking photos and writing detailed steps for over 20 production lines and WIP presses.
- Gain hands-on experience in manufacturing processes such as metal stamping, riveting, and general assembly.
Requirements
- Junior or Senior in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong capabilities with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience or familiarity with manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts.
- Exposure or experience in a manufacturing environment.
