HTI is seeking a technical Industrial Manufacturing Engineer responsible for supporting the successful planning, design, and efficient production of the Company's equipment and manufacturing processes in accordance with LEAN manufacturing principles for a global leader in industrial furnace manufacturing. The Industrial Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with various departments including Engineering, Manufacturing, Checkout, and Service, as well as Suppliers, to develop cost-effective solutions to design and manufacturing problems. The role emphasizes minimizing waste in all forms and ensuring that solutions can be safely and effectively executed. In this position, the engineer will be capable of organizing and leading Kaizen event teams and designing effective internal Kan Ban systems to ensure material availability on a single piece flow basis. The engineer will support manufacturing efforts by designing, testing, and implementing manufacturing fixtures, processes, and systems to support continuous improvement efforts. Additionally, the engineer will benchmark existing processes using value stream mapping techniques to identify opportunities for improvement. The role also involves implementing 5S in all manufacturing cells and identifying opportunities for design or process improvements, participating in the planning and execution of such opportunities. The Industrial Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for documenting all manufacturing processes and procedures in the form of written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining all production metric boards and production wheels for efficient communication. The engineer will assist the production team with questions or troubleshooting fabrication issues and will maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Furthermore, the engineer will assist with equipment analysis in terms of risk of potential hazards and contribute to all aspects of the business to ensure strategic and tactical business goals and objectives are met.
