The Industrial & Manufacturing Engineer role at Winnebago Outdoors focuses on driving process improvement and operational efficiency within the production areas. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, cost-saving measures, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support for various production areas.
  • Develop and implement process improvement strategies to increase operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct time studies and process analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Utilize lean principles and tools to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain standard work procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop solutions to address production issues.
  • Lead and facilitate process improvement projects.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers on lean principles and process improvement methodologies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in industrial engineering to ensure Winnebago Motorhome remains at the forefront of innovation.
  • Communicate regularly with management and stakeholders on process improvement initiatives and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in budget planning and cost control initiatives.
  • Provide support for new product development and introduction to ensure efficient and effective production processes.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, with additional on-the-job experience desired.
  • Manufacturing experience with lean principles.
  • Strong listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to explain and apply statistical knowledge in various settings.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and demonstrated decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and facilitate multiple projects.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Cross-functional complex project management.
  • Self-motivation, willingness to learn & grow, and a strong work ethic.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office / Excel math modeling.
