The Industrial Manufacturing Painter will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing various components and products for wastewater systems including pump racks, decks, and filtration systems. To be successful as a manufacturing painter you will need to have a keen eye for detail, a thorough understanding of painting techniques and materials, and the ability to work efficiently within a team. Primary Job Responsibilities include: - Preparation: sandblast to ensure proper adhesion of the paint. - Painting: Apply paint, primer, and other coating using spray guns or other equipment to ensure even coverage and to achieve a high-quality finish. - Mixing: Prepare paint mixtures according to specifications including mixing colors and adjusting consistency as needed. - Inspection: Inspect painted surfaces for quality, identifying and correcting any defects or inconsistencies. - Maintenance: Maintain and clean painting equipment and work areas to ensure proper operation and safety. - Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to environmental regulations. Secondary Job Responsibilities include assisting in assembling and fabricating the wastewater systems from mechanical drawings, unloading and loading trucks, cleaning the shop (sweeping, trash removal, etc.), and fabricating pallets for shipments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare paint mixtures according to specifications, including mixing colors and adjusting consistency as needed.
  • Inspect painted surfaces for quality, identifying and correcting any defects or inconsistencies.
  • Maintain and clean painting equipment and work areas to ensure proper operation and safety.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to environmental regulations.
  • Assist in assembling and fabricating the wastewater systems from mechanical drawings.
  • Assist with unloading and loading trucks.
  • Clean the shop (sweeping, trash removal, etc.).
  • Fabricate pallets for shipments.

Requirements

  • Previous experience (2 years minimum) as a painter in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in various painting techniques and tools.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and blueprints.
  • Strong focus on quality and precision, with a commitment to achieving a high standard of finish.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift (50 lbs alone - team lift with heavier lbs) and move objects, and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to painting and working with hazardous materials.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in painting or related field(s) is a plus.
