About the position

The Industrial Manufacturing Sales Manager position is a remote role that focuses on driving sales and enhancing client relationships within the industrial manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the organization in achieving greater results for clients by developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing plans. This role requires a strong emphasis on communication, collaboration, and client engagement, ensuring that client needs are met while also aligning with the company's core values and purpose statement. In this position, you will be expected to create monthly and quarterly departmental reports to assess whether key performance indicators (KPIs) are being met and identify areas for improvement. You will also be required to record all phone calls with clients and submit daily reports detailing your activities and results. Participation in team calls to share client progress reports and action items is essential, as is engaging in learning and development opportunities tailored to your role. The role involves collaboration with various department managers, including the Client Intake Manager, Business Development Manager, Marketing Manager, and Learning & Development Manager, to ensure that all departmental action plans are aligned with the initial 12-18 Month Sales and Marketing Plan. You will interact with clients to build relationships, understand their sales knowledge and expectations, and provide coaching and advice to help them in their sales efforts. Regular meetings with clients will be scheduled to conduct temperature checks and obtain feedback on overall success rates, as well as to develop solutions as needed. This position starts on a part-time basis but is expected to transition to full-time within 2-6 weeks. The compensation ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 per year, paid on an hourly basis, with weekly payments processed through an online platform. Responsibilities

  • Assist the organization to obtain greater results faster for clients.
  • Create monthly and quarterly departmental reports to determine whether KPIs are being met and identify areas for improvement.
  • Record all phone calls with clients and submit daily reports describing activity and results.
  • Participate in team calls to share client progress reports and action items.
  • Engage in learning and development opportunities tailored to the role.
  • Collaborate with the Client Intake Manager during the intake stage to understand customer requirements and set realistic client expectations.
  • Work with various department managers to ensure alignment with the initial 12-18 Month Sales and Marketing Plan.
  • Interact with clients to build relationships and provide coaching and advice to assist in sales efforts.
  • Attend critical meetings involving sales and marketing processes to collaborate with other managers.
  • Establish regular meeting rhythms with various departments to oversee client health strategies.
  • Schedule ongoing meetings with clients to conduct temperature checks and obtain feedback on success rates.
  • Articulate changes in direction to the management team and provide guidance to department managers.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of the client services process.
  • Maintain records and documentation of client interactions for training purposes.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic and enterprise selling.
  • 15+ years of experience in client-facing roles.
  • 15+ years of experience managing multiple client accounts with a focus on professionalism and customer service.
  • 20+ years of industrial manufacturing experience across multiple industries.
  • Ability to develop strategic sales and marketing plans.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to anticipate client needs.
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking skills to provide advice to department managers.
  • Solutions-based thinking with sound judgment capabilities.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills.
  • Advanced technology usage skills, including customer service programs and databases.
