About the position

Our client, an established Carbon Fiber manufacturing company with an international reach, is seeking a strong Business Development Manager with a background in Engineering. The primary goal of this position is to expand relationships with key customers in the Americas, particularly in sectors such as Clean Energy, Civil Engineering, Automotive, and Aerospace. The successful candidate will be responsible for forecasting material needs and market trends, which will help guide the corporate strategy. This role is pivotal in coordinating the activities of the Technical Sales Engineers and services for Carbon/Oxidized PAN Fibers, as well as intermediate materials like prepregs and resins. The focus will be on driving sustainable financial growth by boosting sales and building strong customer relationships. In this role, the Business Development Manager will conduct thorough market research to identify customer requirements and determine the materials, products, and services needed to meet these demands. They will develop multi-year forecasts across all market segments for the company's products in the Americas. Additionally, the manager will coordinate sales, revenue, and forecasting for commercial activities, study trends and strategies of competitors, and develop a customer-based growth strategy that emphasizes customer satisfaction and financial gain. The position also involves coordinating internal functions that support various clients, including technical support and quality analysis, along with other duties as required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify customer requirements and to identify materials, products & services to fill these needs.
  • Develop multi-year forecasts across all market segments for the company's products in the Americas.

Requirements

  • Proven business development experience in either the carbon fiber or advanced composites space.
  • Degree in either chemical or mechanical engineering.
  • Demonstrated after sale customer support.
