About the position
The Millwright position at Nucor Steel Arkansas involves supporting the Maintenance and Production Teams through mechanical and some electrical troubleshooting. The role requires interpreting technical drawings and manuals for the installation, repair, and maintenance of complex equipment systems and machinery. The Millwright is expected to operate various equipment safely and uphold safety standards while ensuring reliability for customers. Shift rotation, including nights, weekends, overtime, and holidays, is a requirement of the job.
Responsibilities
- Support Maintenance and Production Teams via mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Interpret drawings and manuals for installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment systems and machinery.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, man lifts, and mobile cranes during mechanical operations.
- Demonstrate safety-minded support of the Maintenance Team.
- Provide world-class reliability for customers.
Requirements
- Experience using Engineering and Maintenance Principles.
- 1-year previous Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Experience.
- Experience interpreting drawings and manuals for complex equipment and machinery.
- Extensive mechanical and basic electrical knowledge for servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines.
