About the position

The Industrial Painter at Rockford Manufacturing Group (RMG) is responsible for painting the frames and parts of wire processing machinery before assembly. This role requires operating and maintaining spray paint equipment in a clean manufacturing environment, ensuring high-quality finishes on products. Responsibilities

• Spray prepared surfaces with specified amounts of primers or finish coatings.
• Pour paint into spray guns, adjust nozzles and paint mixes for proper paint flow and coating thickness.
• Mix and apply paint and coatings.
• Responsible for start-up and shut-down of paint systems.
• Inspect parts to ensure they are ready to finish coat.
• Maintain maintenance on spray guns, equipment, and paint booth.
• Grind welds to prep for painting.
• Keep work area clean and safe.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Prior industrial painting experience is very beneficial.
• Ability to keep product moving through 2 paint booths.
• Dependable worker.
• Must be able to wear a respirator.

Nice-to-haves
