IMI Industrial Services Group is seeking a full-time Piping Project Engineer for the Atlanta, GA area. The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in assisting with the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects, ensuring consistency with company policy and contract specifications. This position requires a strong focus on safety, as the Project Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of all projects by following and enforcing all company and customer safety policies and regulations. The Project Engineer will assist in the design, planning, and implementation of projects, clearly articulating project scope, goals, specifications, and deliverables. This includes developing full-scale project plans with timelines, reviewing and approving design drawings prior to customer submittal, and providing direction and support to the project team. The Project Engineer will constantly monitor and report on the progress of the project to all stakeholders, addressing any problems and proposing solutions as necessary. Additionally, the Project Engineer will implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve desired project outputs. Upon project completion, the Project Engineer will conduct a managed review with project managers and customers to validate the quality of work and adherence to project specification requirements. The role also involves developing piping material take-offs from customer-supplied prints or hand-generated sketches, procuring materials, and maintaining tracking of material travelers. The Project Engineer will generate weld maps from customer-provided drawings and hand-generated ISOs, conduct quality inspections of materials being fabricated and installed, and perform other duties as assigned.
