About the position

The Industrial Process Engineer at Revere Copper Products, LLC is a key member of the Mebane Plant Operations Team, responsible for overseeing process engineering, production scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a strong presence on the production floor to monitor processes, ensure quality assurance, and implement sustainable improvements. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to optimize production resources, analyze data for process enhancements, and lead the implementation of lean manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day process and quality assurance functions in collaboration with hourly operators and production supervisors.
  • Monitor, control, and recommend improvements to manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Specify processing parameters to meet customer product requirements.
  • Lead the Mebane customer complaint process and analyze data for process improvements.
  • Interact with the Customer Support and Quality Engineering Team to provide delivery dates and manage production scheduling.
  • Implement and drive the production schedule to optimize resources and meet market needs.
  • Design and implement efficient production systems using value stream mapping and inventory pull signals.
  • Coordinate with Quality Engineering, Customer Support, and Production teams to create effective production plans.
  • Analyze key datasets to identify opportunities for improvement in production cycles and process yield.
  • Investigate production process needs and implement projects and action plans.
  • Design and execute experiments to drive process and product improvements.
  • Work with Quality Engineering to analyze and respond to customer complaints and corrective action requests.
  • Develop and maintain Process FMEAs for production equipment.
  • Perform internal audits and participate in various production and quality teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical position in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with quality and process control techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in manufacturing and quality management of primary metals (copper, steel, aluminum).
  • Knowledge of statistical process control techniques.

Nice-to-haves

  • Six sigma black belt certification and AIAG certification.
  • Experience with heavy industrial machinery.
  • Process, Quality, Production Planning, or Continuous Improvement experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing concepts.
