About the position

As an Industrial Process Engineer at our Van Wert, OH location, you will be an integral part of our manufacturing team, focusing on continuous improvement and operational excellence. In this position, you will also bridge the communication gap between departments, fostering clear and concise communication to identify and eliminate production bottlenecks. You will develop comprehensive process documentation, including one-point lessons, visual aids, and work instructions, to facilitate training and ensure smooth implementation of process improvements. Your collaboration with manufacturing leadership and personnel will be essential in launching new products, processes, and materials, as well as analyzing data from various sources to identify areas for improvement. Leadership through collaboration is a key aspect of this role. You will champion a collaborative culture within the team, fostering open communication and teamwork to achieve departmental objectives. Your ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams will be vital in driving operational excellence and ensuring that our manufacturing processes are optimized for success.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement robust improvements that enhance safety, quality, and overall efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred, or a relevant degree and demonstrably equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working as an engineer in a manufacturing environment, including experience as a co-op or intern (preferred).
  • Strong understanding and application of Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Lean, PDCA, Six Sigma, and TOC.
  • Proficient in computer skills including CAD systems, Microsoft Office Suite, internet navigation, and email communication.
  • Strong communicator with excellent presentation, verbal, and written skills.
  • A natural leader who thrives in a collaborative and cross-functional team environment.
  • Self-motivated, hands-on individual with a quick learning curve and the ability to apply new skills effectively.
  • A reliable team player who can follow instructions and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
