The Industrial Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the materials procurement, purchasing, and production planning processes. This role ensures that production remains on schedule and within budget, utilizing inputs from MRP such as customer orders, forecasts, and buffer stock to create, monitor, and track production plans and schedules. The manager will research material shortages and coordinate with the purchasing organization to ensure that the material supply chain supports the production plan. Additionally, the manager will monitor actual production at contract manufacturers to ensure timely and effective execution of schedules. The position also involves streamlining the production process, analyzing assembly and production data, writing production reports, and creating strategies to enhance production efficiency. The manager will address any production and logistic issues, hire, train, and evaluate workers, and ensure that performance and safety requirements are met. Furthermore, the manager will assess the need for new machines or overtime work as necessary.
