About the position

The Industrial Production Safety Manager at Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages LLC is responsible for enhancing the safety culture within production centers. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to develop and implement safety policies and processes that protect employees, customers, and the community while ensuring compliance with legal and company standards. The manager will lead initiatives to improve safety performance and create a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Plant Manager to define and improve Liberty's safety culture.
  • Meet all regulatory and stakeholder requirements in production, warehouse, and distribution settings.
  • Create training tools and programs to enhance safety capabilities and performance.
  • Develop annual safety performance goals such as LTIR, TRIR, WUR, and EUR.
  • Establish management routines, audits, and inspections to improve safety performance.
  • Implement systems and policies to assess risks and drive accountability in safety performance.
  • Develop multi-year safety strategies for assigned production centers or business functions.
  • Act as an effective safety leader and employee advocate, influencing site-specific teams.
  • Create safety metrics and reporting to enhance safety performance.
  • Identify risks and hazards through data analysis and observations to prevent incidents.
  • Conduct safety reviews of proposed plant projects and modifications.
  • Issue stop work orders on unsafe activities and ensure resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field (Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, etc.).
  • Minimum of 3 years of field safety experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • General Industry Trainings (OSHA 10, OSHA 30, HAZWOPER, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of QSE standards and regulatory compliance (OSHA, NFPA, etc.).
  • Experience in auditing management systems (ISO 14001, 45001, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing management principles and food safety.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a safety-related field.
  • Safety designations such as CSP, ASP, ARM, or CIH.
  • 5 years of management experience in the beverage industry.
  • Experience with the Coca-Cola system or consumer products.
  • Knowledge of Health, Sustainability, and Environmental practices.
  • Strong ergonomics and EHS culture experience.
  • Additional safety certifications and trainer designations.
  • Auditing experience with ISO standards.
  • OSHA VPP experience.
  • Industrial Hygiene and Manufacturing experience.
  • Food Safety experience.
  • Lean/CI, Six-Sigma, OE experience.
  • Experience working in union environments.
