About the position

The Industrial Project Engineer - MEP at Sundt Construction is a key technical role responsible for managing project information and ensuring compliance with construction documents. This position serves as a vital link between various stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, while also providing support in the supervision and training of Field Engineers. The role offers a structured career progression through three levels, catering to varying experience levels from entry to senior positions.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates an understanding of the components of the project management plan (PMP) including project scope, procurement, environmental, time management, financial, quality, safety, and risk management plans.
• Develops a procurement schedule and integrates it with the project CPM schedule, procures necessary materials and equipment, and coordinates submittals with other trades.
• Reviews all submittals for compliance with contract documents and develops an understanding of prime contracts, subcontracts, and purchase order agreements.
• Administers budgeting and cost control processes to ensure project completion within the approved budget, demonstrating business acumen.
• Maintains "As-built" contract documents and compiles close-out requirements, including operation and maintenance manuals and warranties.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of construction documents, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Experience in project management and understanding of project management plans.
• Ability to maintain professional relationships with various stakeholders in the construction process.
• Experience in procurement and cost control processes.
