About the position

The Industrial Sales & Business Development Representative at STS Industrial, Inc. is responsible for supporting local contracts for vendor managed inventory (VMI) and driving new business development in the Corpus Christi area. This role requires an experienced sales professional with established local contacts to effectively close sales and create profitability. Initially a remote position, it will transition to an onsite role as business demands grow, with some travel required for training and inventory runs.

Responsibilities

• Support local contracts for vendor managed inventory (VMI).
• Close sales with new customers in the Corpus Christi area.
• Develop new business and maintain existing contracts.
• Engage in continuous learning to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
• Manage business development activities on the road in Corpus Christi.
• Transition from remote work to an onsite position as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years combined experience in Inside or Outside Sales in Industrial PVF, Gasket, and Fastener products.
• Established personal/business network of contacts in the industry.
• Strong familiarity with the Corpus Christi area and market dynamics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office™ software, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Customer service orientation and ability to lift at least 50 pounds routinely.
• Dedicated home office space set up with basic office equipment.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings and background checks.
