About the position

The Industrial Sales & Business Development Representative at STS Industrial, Inc. is primarily focused on new business development in the Corpus Christi area. This role involves supporting local contracts for vendor managed inventory (VMI) and closing sales with new customers. The position will initially be remote but will transition to an onsite role as business demands grow. The representative will be responsible for managing existing contracts while actively seeking new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Support local contracts for vendor managed inventory (VMI)
• Close sales with new customers
• Manage existing contracts in Corpus Christi
• Develop new business opportunities
• Engage in continuous learning in all areas
• Conduct inventory runs to Pasadena occasionally
• Travel to Pasadena for training during the first 90 days of employment

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years combined experience in Inside or Outside Sales in Industrial PVF, Gasket, and Fastener products
• Significant and current personal/business network of contacts
• Familiarity with the Corpus and surrounding areas and market dynamics
• Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office™ software (Excel and Outlook)
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Strong Customer Service orientation
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds routinely
• Dedicated office space at home away from noise
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings and background checks
