About the position

The Industrial Sales Representative plays a crucial role in driving sales within a designated territory, specifically covering the Edmonton area through to northeastern BC. This position involves managing customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and overseeing sales activities to meet financial and pipeline reporting requirements. The representative will also assist with forecasting and provide input to improve sales strategies, making it essential for candidates to be both hunters and farmers in their sales approach.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow relationships with current customers across all divisions.
  • Source new business through prospecting and cold calling.
  • Engage with sales leads provided by the company and actively seek new opportunities.
  • Review product samples to determine sourcing options, follow up on quotations, and negotiate pricing as required.
  • Address customer concerns, such as invoicing issues or delayed deliveries, and resolve them promptly.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication of orders and maintain sales reports and forecasts.
  • Adhere to company policies and take on additional duties as assigned.
  • Support safety initiatives and engage in committee activities.

Requirements

  • 5 years of sales success in automotive aftermarket, industrial, or OEM sales environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work strategically, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and purpose in achieving goals.
