About the position

The Industrial Sales Representative at Tingue, Brown & Co. is responsible for managing sales in the Alabama territory, focusing on solution selling and servicing existing accounts while establishing new ones. This unique role combines sales expertise with a service technician aspect, requiring hands-on work with commercial laundry products. The representative will engage with company owners and plant managers, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Master all product line knowledge and skill to solution sell and install applicable products.
  • Present new products and continue selling existing core product lines.
  • Maintain product presence in customer resource libraries ensuring data is updated and accurate.
  • Maintain and update market data via CRM platform.
  • Work with Management to create a sales strategy and achievable goals.
  • Submit activity and results reports, such as pre-call planning, work plans, monthly and annual analysis.
  • Maintain and grow client marketing contact lists for Direct Marketing outreach.
  • Participate actively in industry groups to build personal networks and brand as a salesperson.
  • Troubleshoot issues in the field, resolving customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions.
  • Perform textile installations on a variety of flatwork ironing, feeding, and folding equipment.
  • Develop relationships with existing customers and new potential customers.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in Industrial Sales (Preferred)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Driver's License (Preferred)
  • Account management experience
  • Customer service experience
