About the position

The Industrial Sales Territory Manager at Atlas Copco Compressors LLC is responsible for driving sales growth in assigned territories by prospecting, sourcing, and maintaining quality customer relationships. This role focuses on selling rotary screw air compressors, centrifugal air compressors, and related products, while ensuring high customer satisfaction through collaboration with aftermarket sales representatives. Responsibilities

  • Prospect and source new customers to grow market share in assigned areas.
  • Achieve or exceed assigned sales goals by developing action plans and schedules.
  • Engage in planned prospecting activities to increase the customer base.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals from field activity.
  • Establish rapport with existing and new customers, particularly key accounts.
  • Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and pricing to customers.
  • Oversee customer service through quality checks and follow-up to resolve concerns.
  • Maintain a professional image and enhance the company's reputation.
  • Prepare reports on activity, lost orders, and performance against budget.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to update job knowledge.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct sales or customer service experience, preferably in industrial equipment sales.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or marketing preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proven business analysis skills.
  • Self-directed and able to utilize the company CRM system effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales management or marketing.
  • Familiarity with customer service best practices.
  • Knowledge of air compressor technologies and applications.
