About the position

Farnsworth Group is seeking an Industrial/Semiconductor Structural Engineer to join our team, which has been recognized as a certified Great Place to Work for the last eight years. This position can be based in one of several locations, including Austin, TX; Frisco, TX; Greenwood Village (Denver DTC); or Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will be responsible for providing customer-oriented design and construction administration for semiconductor clean room and industrial structures. Your work will primarily focus on projects within the advanced manufacturing and technology markets, where you will have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to the world around us. As an Industrial/Semiconductor Structural Engineer, you will perform structural design calculations, develop construction documents, and provide construction administration services. You will also conduct site visits, attend client meetings, and coordinate with the project team to ensure project success. Additionally, you will participate in Emerging Technology projects, allowing you to stay at the forefront of industry advancements and contribute to innovative solutions. Responsibilities

  • Perform structural design calculations
  • Develop construction documents and provide construction administration services
  • Perform site visits and attend client meetings
  • Coordinate with the project team
  • Participate in Emerging Technology projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering, with emphasis in structures
  • 8+ years of structural engineering experience
  • Structural Engineer (SE) licensure preferred
  • Experience with design and construction administration of semiconductor/clean room and/or industrial structures
  • Experience designing with common construction materials: steel, concrete, masonry or wood
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment that can manage and contribute to several projects simultaneously
  • Revit proficiency preferred

  • Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies
  • Knowledge of industry standards and codes
