About the position

The Industrial & Systems Engineer I-V position at FedEx Express involves utilizing fundamental engineering concepts to analyze operational data and methods, identify performance improvement opportunities, and implement technology systems that align with business objectives. The role encompasses various engineering disciplines, including automation, facilities and material handling, project management, operations research, and technology security, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of FedEx's operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze performance data within engineering using engineering tools and software.
• Research, analyze, and consolidate technical or engineering-related information for management review.
• Prepare accurate expenditure proposals and cost justification analysis with management guidance.
• Formulate and present document research, progress, and results to team members and internal customers.
• Apply project management fundamentals and concepts with management guidance, developing progress reports and communication memos.
• Participate in Control Self Monitoring (CSM) and/or Business Control Self-Assessment (BCSA) processes within the area of responsibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical or quantitative degree (e.g. mathematics) required.
• High school diploma or GED and four (4) years experience in applicable technical area accepted in lieu of degree.
• Preferred disciplines include Electrical Engineering, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Computer Science, and IT Security.
