About the position

The Industrial Technical Services Supervisor is responsible for leading the Technical Service Center (TSC) team, focusing on coaching, daily management, and driving sales revenue growth in industrial and hazardous waste sectors. This hybrid role requires collaboration with the Industrial Sales team to enhance customer experience and implement continuous improvement strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform side by side coaching and one on one progress reviews with Technical Service Center team.
  • Provide reports and communication to the Technical Service Manager on team performance and mindset.
  • Maintain and leverage Talent Management tools for facilitating check-in conversations, as well as mid-year and year-end individual reviews with team.
  • Facilitate communication and implementation of best practices to the Technical Service Center team.
  • Develop action plans for identified deficiencies and team development.
  • Participate and take an active leadership role in committees within the department.
  • Design, implement and maintain job performance tracking tools in conjunction with the Technical Service Manager.
  • Ensure timely internal and external customer follow-up.
  • Facilitate and participate in new Technical Service Center personnel onboarding.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) within the Technical Service Center in conjunction with the Technical Service Manager.
  • Assist Technical Service Representatives to troubleshoot problematic customer situations through to resolution.
  • Collaborate with the M&I Sales Team to resolve issues and drive improved partnerships.
  • Maintain proficiency in the use of the Waste Management Technical Service Center and Sales team's tools and systems.
  • Monitor real-time contact handling performance and proactively react to service delivery issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Business Administration, Environmental or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years of relevant work experience.
  • Three (3) years of related work experience (in addition to education requirement).
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste regulations, DOT requirements, and corporate policies and procedures required.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Superior interpersonal skills for internal and external interactions.
