The position involves installing and repairing electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, as well as the electrical and electronic components of machinery. The individual will build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical instruments and testing equipment. Responsibilities include developing, writing, and conducting documented Preventative Maintenance procedures to TAMKO's standards, assembling electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data, and preparing charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow and machine handling. The role also requires visually inspecting and testing machinery, dismantling defective machines, and installing new or repaired equipment. Additionally, the technician will provide technical assistance during installation, track parts usage, maintain accurate work orders, and set up test equipment to evaluate performance under simulated conditions. The position demands the ability to analyze test information, modify prototypes, and evaluate engineering proposals for sound electrical practices. The technician will also prepare project costs, review existing electrical systems, and write commissioning procedures for electrical installations.
