About the position

The Industrial Technician role at Aerotek involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems within the plant. The technician will work with PLCs and power distribution systems, focusing on diagnosing and replacing faulty components, as well as managing and implementing new control systems and equipment upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs using platform systems by vendors such as Siemens and Rexroth.
• Assist in project management and implementation of new control systems and equipment upgrades.
• Replace faulty switches and other elements of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures.
• Install, repair, overhaul, modify, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery.
• Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electrical, electronic, and mechanical components throughout the plant.
• Maintain plant power distribution systems, including performing preventive maintenance and installing wiring, conduit, and apparatus.

Requirements

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
• Experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance of industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of power distribution systems and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose and repair faulty electrical and mechanical components.
• 5 years of progressively responsible experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance of industrial equipment and machinery, including PLC-based systems, servo motors, and drives.
