About the position
CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead industrial water and wastewater projects. This role involves managing project planning and design, providing technical guidance, and assisting with business development activities across various industrial sectors. The position is hybrid, requiring a minimum of two days in the office, and offers the opportunity to work from any of CDM Smith's offices in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Manage and serve as the lead Project Manager on water/wastewater projects.
- Provide technical guidance, senior leadership, and mentoring to engineering staff.
- Develop, monitor, and adhere to project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Complete Quality Assurance/Quality Control of key deliverables.
- Assist Client Service Leaders with technical marketing for clients.
- Participate in professional societies relevant to the industry.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with key decision makers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 10 years of related experience.
- PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification required within 12 months of hire.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Nice-to-haves
- Professional engineering (PE) license.
- Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering.
- Previous experience managing projects for industrial water/water reuse/wastewater clients.
- Experience managing multi-discipline project teams.
- Excellent communication, networking, and team building skills.
