About the position

The Industry Business Advisor - Transport at J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc. is a pivotal role within the Editorial team, aimed at enhancing safety in the transportation industry. This position involves providing expert consultation to both internal and external customers, developing quality content, and maintaining in-depth knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations. The advisor will engage in public speaking at various events and foster relationships within the industry to inform business decisions and product development.

Responsibilities

• Presents at live events, tradeshows, webinars, and other customer-facing events, including writing and delivering presentations.
• Establishes and develops agency, industry, and other relevant contacts through various communication methods.
• Researches, writes, reviews, and edits material for guides, manuals, handbooks, newsletters, and online services.
• Provides regulatory knowledge, product knowledge, and training support to customers, including presenting webinars and live presentations.
• Suggests new products/services and revisions of existing products/services.
• Stays current with trends and developments in the transportation industry.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the transportation industry or as a researcher, writer, or editor in a related field.
• Experience developing written materials and educational/training programs.
• Bachelor's Degree or two years of additional related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) certification preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with Content Management Systems.
