About the position

The Industry Research Analyst role at S&P Global focuses on machine learning and artificial intelligence infrastructure. This position is part of a team dedicated to generating insights on data science, AI, analytics, and related technologies. The analyst will lead research efforts on the architectural shifts necessary for deploying AI capabilities, engaging with technology providers and enterprises to provide actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead insights on cutting-edge machine learning and AI technologies.
• Develop and maintain a program of market-leading written research on AI and GenAI technologies.
• Synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to create vendor profiles and market trend reports.
• Take ownership of developing annual or semi-annual survey instruments and contribute to market sizing tools.
• Advise clients on actionable insights relevant to their needs regarding AI and GenAI.
• Engage with commercial colleagues through sales support initiatives and consulting projects.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience as an industry analyst with expertise in AI strategies and/or enterprise software markets.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for technological advancements, particularly in ML/AI.
• Strong client engagement skills with experience in public speaking and relationship building.
• Excellent writing, analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Experience in managing an individual program of research.
