About the position

The Senior Analyst role in the Data, AI, and Analytics research practice at S&P Global Market Intelligence focuses on generating insights related to machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies. The position involves analyzing the interdependencies of these technologies with infrastructure, data management, and analytics, contributing to a team of experts dedicated to providing market-leading research and insights. The analyst will engage with technology providers, investors, and enterprises to influence decision-making in the evolving landscape of generative AI and its infrastructure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead insights on cutting-edge machine learning and AI technologies engaging with leading technology providers, investors, and enterprises.
• Create and maintain a program of market-leading written research analyzing AI and GenAI technologies, focusing on the underlying infrastructure and platform layers.
• Synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to produce vendor profiles, market trend reports, and M&A focused reports, typically 40 short-form and a few long-form reports a year.
• Take ownership of developing annual or semi-annual survey instruments and contribute to market sizing and mapping tools.
• Advise clients on actionable insights relevant to their needs and interests on AI and GenAI, both virtually and face-to-face.

Requirements

• Experience in data science, machine learning, or artificial intelligence technologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to conduct independent research and produce high-quality written reports.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with edge AI, AI inference, and AI accelerators/GPU chips.
• Familiarity with market intelligence data sets and research methodologies.
• Previous experience in a client-facing role or consulting.
