About the position

The Industry X - Engineering Consulting Manager role at Accenture focuses on driving engineering transformations and product development initiatives across various industries. This position is integral to the Manufacturing & Operations - Product Engineering & Services practice, where the manager will lead teams to optimize engineering functions, implement new technologies, and enhance product strategies. The role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and sustainability in engineering practices, aiming to unlock new growth opportunities for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Support clients in engineering transformations and product development processes.
  • Optimize organization structure, new product development processes, and product lifecycle management systems.
  • Manage zero base product cost through value analysis and engineering assessments.
  • Develop product strategies including Product as a Service and Sustainable Products.
  • Implement new technologies such as Digital Thread, Robotic Process Automation, and Machine Learning in engineering functions.
  • Lead small to medium-sized teams, managing and coaching team members effectively.
  • Drive client sales origination and contribute to thought leadership development.
  • Challenge legacy processes to fuel client growth and drive positive community impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of work experience (12 years if holding an associate degree).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering improvement initiatives.
  • At least 5 years of experience in top-tier consulting.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with new technologies such as Digital Thread, Robotic Process Automation, Machine Learning, and Blockchain.
  • Ability to support client sales origination and project delivery.
