About the position
The Infant/Preschool/Daycare Teacher at Country Kids Preschool and Childcare is responsible for nurturing and educating children aged 8 weeks to 5 years in a professional and fun environment. The role emphasizes creative play, individual growth, and maintaining a clean and organized classroom. The teacher will work closely with children to foster meaningful relationships and ensure their developmental needs are met while adhering to safety and educational standards set by the Oregon Department of Education.
Responsibilities
- Encourage creative play based on individual child's needs.
- Lead activities that stimulate the growth and sensory of each individual child.
- Keep a clean, organized, and inclusive classroom.
- Assist with snacks and meals including serving and clean up.
Requirements
- Childcare CPR Certification
- First Aid Certification
- At least six months of qualifying teaching experience in a center or experience in a CF program
- Food handlers' card
- Completed 2 hours of recognizing and reporting child abuse and neglect
- Completed OCC health and safety training
- Completed safe sleep training or willing to obtain
- Must have all safety set trainings and credentials to be teacher qualified under Oregon Laws
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- Must be 18+ years of age
