The Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher at Learners for Life Child Development Center plays a crucial role in supporting the Lead Teacher in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers. This position focuses on assisting with daily activities, individualized care, and fostering a positive learning experience for young children. Ideal candidates are passionate about early childhood education and eager to contribute to the growth and development of infants and toddlers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing the daily curriculum and lesson plans.
  • Provide attentive and nurturing care to infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Support the development of each child's individual needs and help monitor their progress.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including setting up and cleaning up after activities.
  • Communicate effectively with children, families, and team members, fostering positive relationships.
  • Assist with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and nap time as needed.
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols and ensure a safe learning environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; current high school seniors are also encouraged to apply.
  • Experience working with young children, either through previous employment, internships, or volunteer work, is a plus but not required.
  • A genuine interest in early childhood education and a passion for working with infants and toddlers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Reliable, responsible, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to follow instructions and contribute to a supportive classroom environment.
