The Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher at Learners for Life Child Development Center plays a crucial role in supporting the Lead Teacher in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers. This position focuses on assisting with daily activities, individualized care, and fostering a positive learning experience for young children. Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing the daily curriculum and lesson plans.
- Provide attentive and nurturing care to infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Support the development of each child's individual needs and help monitor their progress.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including setting up and cleaning up after activities.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and team members, fostering positive relationships.
- Assist with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and nap time as needed.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols and ensure a safe learning environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; current high school seniors are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience working with young children, either through previous employment, internships, or volunteer work, is a plus but not required.
- A genuine interest in early childhood education and a passion for working with infants and toddlers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Reliable, responsible, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and contribute to a supportive classroom environment.
